Over time, today I can contribute to Shamanism this humble personal reflection:
For the connection with the Unit, a shamanic-type interface (animals, nature, guides, etc.) is not essential ... perhaps it was necessary thousands of years ago but today the connection it can be achieved in a direct way. I mean that neo-shamanism has been very concerned with looking to the past, but it must already begin to look to the future. To look towards FEELING and towards LOVE , possibly something that was lost along the centuries.
Shamanic societies interpreted spirits as animals - power animals - since together with the trees, they were the environment that surrounded them and to which they were attached . The shamanic methodology used - and continues to do so - the elements of nature to facilitate contact, visualization and the focus of intention in its techniques. Even today, thousands of traditional shamans - or modern neo-shamans - all over the planet start their journeys from a tree, climbing the branches towards "the world above" or descending through the roots towards "the world below" ( without any connotation of hell), where they communicate and request the help of their guides and power animals. It is the same "Sacred Tree", the universal oak already reconverted, in whose branches the god Perun reigned and at its roots the serpent god Veles.
From the branches it went to heaven and from the roots to hell. And from Unity there was a catalog of the most varied gods, always divided into good and bad or Enlil and Enki, or god and the devil. Little by little, religion penetrated the human being and Unity became a word in disuse . With the centuries and the new civilizations that they brought, the symbolisms expanded . Thus, Enlil and his people ended up assimilated also to the bull and the lion or the dove (the granddaughter of Enlil Ishtar / Inanna). As we explained in Cathars, Kurds and Catalans , the Ley Line that crosses the whole of Europe reaches and forks in this area , the one followed from the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan by the first human beings who occupied both sides of the Pyrenees , after the great flooding of the Mediterranean and of which the Catalans are direct descendants.
The circle closes not far from here, just 70 kilometers away, on the magical mountain of Montserrat. That is where Ignacio de Loyola created the new order of warrior monks that would give continuity to the Order of the Temple. 666 has ZERO to do with the biblical number of the beast.
